To accommodate the Burton Car drivers, the Burton Car Company has developed a complete wiring harness.
When using this harness, the following options can be installed.
ˇ Speedometer plus odometer, both MMB and Burton (the last is mechanical)
ˇ Rev counter either MMB or Burton, both connected electronically via the ignition
ˇ Voltage gauge MMB or Burton
ˇ Fuel gauge
ˇ Oil pressure gauge
ˇ Oil temperature gauge
ˇ Amp gauge
ˇ Clock and/or Radio
ˇ Connections for the illumination of all gauges are also available
The following warning lights are available
ˇ Oil pressure
ˇ Brake fluid level
ˇ Trafficator
ˇ High beam indicator
Three warning lights in the Burton speedometer are standard.
Switches:
ˇ Lighting switch
ˇ Indicator switch
ˇ Ignition switch
ˇ Wiperfluid pushbutton
ˇ Blower switch
ˇ Wiper switch
ˇ Starter pushbutton (optional)
The wiring harness also supports the connections for the basic lighting for head lamps, tail lamps, indicator lights both back and front (on the wings) plus gauge illumination.
Connections in the engine bay:
ˇ Starter-motor
ˇ Dynamo or alternator
ˇ Control box/regulator
ˇ Brake fluid level transmitter
ˇ Ignition coil
Following sensors are supported:
ˇ Oil pressure
ˇ Oil temperature
ˇ Standard 2CV fuel level transmitter, which no longer requires a modification as described in the older Burton construction manuals.
The wiring for these accessoiries is prepared:
- 12V-plug in interior
- Socket for connecting ' Triangle' (tow-bar)
- Light in boot
- Third brakelight
The traditional electro mechanical ignition as well as its modern electronic replacement, the so-called 123 ignition, are supported. |
