12.18. BURTON CRIC |
|
The standard jack of a 2CV does'nt fit the Burton. You can't jack up the car under the body, the polyester will crack. Therefore we developed a special tool to only lift the suspension arm.
Roll the car onto the special block that comes with the jack. Then place the jack under the arm, using the cut-away which says ' front' or 'back', depending on which wheel you're changing. Roll the car forwards or backwards to lift the suspension-arm with the wheel from the ground.
The block is only used when the tyre is fully deflated, to correct the height of the tyre. When changing a inflated tyre, the jack can be used right away. |
